Welcome to the Dog Park Registry, the original and official dog park naming service! Here, you can symbolically rename any park—be it a dog park, city park, or national park—in honor of a beloved pet or in memory of someone special. Renaming a dog park could also be a unique gift, something very different and special. 

 

When you choose a park and give it a personalized name, you'll receive a custom created certificate confirming your chosen name. Depending on the package, other supporting items built around your memorial. While this park name may not be officially recognized by the park and recreation community or local authorities, the magic and honor are real. Our larger Park Project Packages allow the creation of park features that recognize the fund donor(s).

Depending on the memorial funds raised and story surrounding the memorial, park officials could elect to officially rename the park after the person or pet your honoring. Its not a guarantee but we would love to help it happen if we can. The National Dog Park Association can help with official park memorial requests and applications.

 

Renaming a park after someone offers a unusual unique and meaningful gift option for those looking to memorialize or honor someone. You can name any park in the world, and although the park's official name might not change, the National Dog Park Association will list your park name designation on the Dog Park Registry website, honoring both the giver and the honoree. Like most things of magic, this gift is best for those with a bit of imagination and hope.

Dog Park Registry is a fundraising program. All proceeds from gift packages support dog parks and animal welfare projects nationwide for the National Dog Park Association and Pet Endowment Trust. All package purchases come with a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax receipt.

• A custom one page memorial webpage custom created as a tribute to a person or pet 

• Framed park certificate with a tribute section, named after a person or pet

• Pet planning guide form to keep pets safe in the event of an emergency or personal help with pet estate planning

• Information on where your named park will be registered and how to find it online

• Special park project listing, seeking a local NDPA director to facilitate the creation of a park feature recognizing the fund donor(s) Updated contact about project progress.
